We are recruiting a Security Guard for a corporate client site in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will control access to the premises, conduct searches of personnel and vehicles, monitor CCTV systems, and maintain a visible security presence. The ideal candidate is alert, disciplined, and presents a professional image.ResponsibilitiesAssist with emergency procedures including fire evacuations, medical emergencies, and crisis situations according to established protocols.Respond promptly to alarm activations, investigate the cause, and take appropriate action including escalation to armed response or law enforcement.Monitor CCTV camera feeds in real time from a control room, identifying and responding to any unusual or suspicious activity.Conduct regular patrols of the assigned premises on foot or by vehicle, checking for security breaches, hazards, and suspicious activity.Supervise and coordinate a team of security officers, managing shift rosters and ensuring all posts are adequately staffed.Perform regular checks of security equipment including alarms, cameras, radios, and access control systems to ensure functionality.Control access to buildings and sites by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining an accurate access register.RequirementsFor armed response roles, a valid firearm competency certificate and experience in handling firearms safely.Grade 12 certificate is preferred; Grade 10 may be acceptable for certain entry-level positions.The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure in emergency or high-stress situations.Good written and verbal communication skills to write reports and interact professionally with clients and the public.A minimum of one to two years of experience in the security industry with a proven track record of reliability.A valid driver's licence is required for armed response and patrol positions.Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods, conduct foot patrols, and respond quickly to incidents.QualificationsNational Certificate in Security Management
