Minimum Qualification (i.e education, training etc.) Graduate/ Diploma in Industrial Safety & Fire Fighting Course or any other related course (desired)
Minimum Experience
3-5 years of total experience with at least 2 years in a similar position Military / Paramilitary services, Police Services, etc., or allied services background
Special Skills/Attributes (required for performing the job effectively)
Sound understanding of security operations in malls Knowledge of statutory legislations pertaining to safety Disaster Management techniques
Overall Purpose/Objective Of the job
Overall responsibility for ensuring that the centre is provided with a safe and secure environment by ensuring safety and security of people (customers, retailers, employees etc.), materials, physical assets/infrastructure both inside and outside the centre
Key Responsibilities (List major responsibilities, that you have, to achieve the key objectives)
Assist the Head of Security in short listing and selection of outsourced agency by defining the scope of work, evaluating the technical capabilities of various agencies, plan for the overlap of agencies, etc Carry out end-to-end responsibility for operations to ensure safeguarding of the Center from fire-related threats regular personal inspection and review of periodic reports shared by outsourced agencies, etc.) Conduct various safety and security drills (evacuation, fire, etc.) for the various special teams formed (Emergency Response Team, Fire Team, etc.) to enhance the preparedness of the center towards any exigency Supervise the operations of the Command Center collation of various reports (footfalls/ vehicle count, incident report, etc.), CCTV operations, maintain log, etc. Conduct surprise checks and audits to ensure outsourced staff is performing as per defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Ensure maintenance of all documents pertaining to functional operations in proper order (records, various reports, audit results, etc.) Regulatory Approvals with various regulatory authorities/ government agencies (such as police, fire department, RTO, courts, Security Guard Board, National Security Guards (NSG), municipal corporation, local political leaders, other statutory agencies, etc.) to establish and maintain relationship to help ensuring safe and secure environment at the Center Prepare training schedule for the various training programs at the Center and ensure delivery adherence (by ensuring timely communication, plan logistics, coordinating with outsourced agencies for delivery, if required, etc.) Monitor the expenses (both capital and operational expenditure) of the function against the assigned budget and ensure compliance Ensure physical safety and provide proximity protection for employees and visitors in case of any emergency as well as provide escort services for the VIP visitors as required on a case to case basis Ensure availability and use of stipulated safety equipment and protective gear for all mall personnel; file indents for the same, as required
