Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will perform unarmed patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring travel throughout the location as part of your patrol responsibilities. Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology location.Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with badge and entry procedures, and report suspicious conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.Support site operations during shifts by communicating clearly with Allied Universal leaders, client representatives, and/or first responders when needed. Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.Access control and badge experience is preferred.A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:
