As a Personal Banker at UMB, you will excel in building lasting customer relationships, recommending, and selling our diverse range of products and services. Personal Bankers effectively utilize their product knowledge during customer interactions to identify needs and offer financial solutions that support customers in achieving their financial goals while ensuring a hassle-free banking experience.

Your main responsibilities will include:
Engaging customers with personalized questions to convert every interaction into an opportunity to understand their financial aspirations and connect them with appropriate solutions.
Independently managing a successful pipeline of loans by prospecting and cross-selling home equity loans, unsecured personal loans, auto loans, and mortgage referrals, ensuring high conversion rates.
Expanding UMB's customer base by leveraging strong product knowledge and engaging in networking, business development, and proactive sourcing of consumer lending opportunities.
Mastering processes such as transactions while maintaining a cash drawer and completing bank documentation, all in alignment with legal and industry standards.
Challenging yourself against daily performance metrics to elevate your personal achievements, while managing priorities and providing an exceptional customer experience.
And fulfilling other related duties as assigned.

Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
Possess two years of retail banking sales experience or similar relevant experience.
Have reliable transportation and can work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings. This role requires regular travel to different branches.
Can obtain an NMLS registration within 90 days.
Have the ability to quickly learn and accurately apply products, services, and procedures.
Possess basic math skills and can problem-solve within established risk parameters.
Have a demonstrated ability to create connections, engage with customers, educate them, and ask open-ended questions to build trust and lasting relationships.
Show strong capabilities in business development to proactively grow your personal portfolio through effective prospecting and referral strategies.
Thrive in a high-energy, sales-driven team environment, utilizing daily coaching and feedback to enhance your sales outcomes.
Employ your product knowledge and conversation skills to meaningfully address your customers' needs and positively impact their financial journeys.
Communicate effectively, project a positive image, and enjoy problem-solving to create favorable results.
Demonstrate attention to detail in completing documents and explaining product features and benefits.
Take pleasure in mentoring others as a sales coach.
Bonus points if you:
Hold a college degree or military equivalent (preferred).
Are bilingual.
Target Pay: $23-24/hr

Compensation Range: $32,640.00 - $71,920.00
The posted compensation range reflects UMB's standard for this role; however, actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, and other job-related factors.
