As a Security Guard Patrol Support Officer in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, helping to identify unusual activity and/or policy violations. Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and/or other suspicious behavior. Support a professional shopping and workplace environment by providing directions, addressing routine questions, and communicating clearly with customers, staff, and/or first responders when needed. Minimum Requirements:
Access control and badge experience is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
