About the Role
We are looking to recruit additional SIA Security Officers to support our current Events Team working at Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh - hosting Terminal V Festival, We Love It Festival, Royal Highland Show, Scottish Festival of Motoring, Truckfest Scotland, Heather on the Hill Festival and Edinburgh Summer Sessions. Additionally you could find yourself supporting the broader music and sports events at Edinburgh Corn Exchange and Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium - Zach Bryan, Luke Combs and Bon Jovi; and the home of Edinburgh Rugby - Hive Stadium. There are events for everyone's interests! You could be part of making these events a success. If you're open to travel we even have opportunities to be part of some of the biggest events in the UK.
If you hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence, are confident, professional, eager to engage with customers, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! We also have opportunities to be part of some of the biggest events in Glasgow and across the UK.
Our Events SIA Security Officers provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff. This means you could be working indoors or outdoors, on your feet showing visitors where to go, checking tickets at entry points, monitoring crowds, or managing the car parking facilities. Wherever you are, you will be a helpful and friendly face representing the event.
As an Events SIA Security Officer you will be responsible for securing venues, staff and visitors for our customers.
This may include:
Carrying out pre and post event safety checks ensuring compliance with safe working proceduresSearching visitors upon entry to venuesEnsuring that no prohibited or restricted items are taken into the secured zones within the venuesMonitoring visitor/crowd movements and behaviour to identify potential issues or incidents and to take action as necessaryDealing with visitor/crowd disruptionsSecuring licensed / hospitality areas

Requirements: SIA Door Supervisor license requiredPrevious experience in events is not essential as full training will be providedMust be over 18 years oldEvening and weekend availability requiredExcellent communication skills and customer focused
For this role, you must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence - don't worry, if you don't have this you can still be considered as Events Safety Steward, so please see our other opportunities on the website.
