Job Summary
Are you a retail leader looking to take the next step We are seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will partner with the Store Manager to drive store operations, lead team development, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. From managing complex corporate directives to training Store Associates, you will be a key driver in maintaining a high-energy, safe, and productive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day store activities, including opening and closing procedures, cash register deposits, and task compliance. Team Development: Assist in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates to ensure a positive and respectful team environment. Merchandise & Layout: Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery trucks to the sales floor. Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and ensure seasonal areas meet company standards. Administrative Management: Assist with essential record-keeping, including payroll, scheduling, and inventory ordering. Compliance & Loss Prevention: Process corporate directives (Pull and Hold/Destroy), protect company assets, and ensure all associates adhere to safety guidelines and company policies. Facility Maintenance: Ensure store-wide cleanliness, including the stockroom, sales floor, and restrooms, to provide a presentable shopping environment. Problem Solving: Use strong decision-making skills to address customer concerns and operational challenges in a professional, approachable manner.
Credentials and Physical Conditions
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; must be able to read and explain operational directives and merchandise schematics. Experience: Store management experience in a retail, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 55 lbs from the floor to above shoulder height; frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and climbing required. Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required to thrive in our high-energy environment.
