Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities including but not limited to:

To perform scheduled pick-ups and deliveries as instructed. Ensure that all payload on route is safely loaded and that all measures will be taken to ensure no stock losses occur. To ensure the company vehicle is maintained and in proper running order. Keeping the company vehicle clean and neat at all times. Complete daily vehicle checks, log sheets and driver health check diligently and correctly. To check and sign that all stock being loaded per delivery is correct and corresponds with the pick ticket and delivery note. Responsible for fuelling the truck and submitting tickets for purchase of such fuel to the supervisor Assist the storeman/ supervisor with inventory as directed Attend and successfully complete all necessary staff orientation and training functions. Sales, customer service responsibilities, will be required to do sales and deal with customers and identify opportunities Adhere to all Health and Safety protocols implemented by the company at all times. Report all incidents immediately to the office and complete an Incident Report form timeously. Assist the storeman / supervisor with inventory as directed in the store.

Desired Experience & Qualification

QUALIFICATIONS

Matric certificate (Grade 12)

Valid Dangerous Goods Certificate (Hazchem)

Roughly 5 years driving experience.

Valid Drivers License - Code 10 with PrDP

Sales and dealing with customers experience a plus
