Dollar Tree Store Associate

Job Summary

This role will involve thorough training to handle a variety of responsibilities, including operating the cash register and replenishing stock in the back of the store. As the store's public face, you will be responsible for creating a positive shopping environment and adhering to operational standards that maintain our reputation for affordable offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service: Maintain a high level of service by being friendly, pleasant, and cooperative with every customer and co-worker. Cashier Operations: Handle all sales transactions accurately while operating your assigned cash register and maintaining the security of all cash. Merchandising & Stocking: Assist in the merchandising of the store and perform stock replenishment to ensure products are available for our customers. Logistics & Receiving: Assist with unloading trucks and receiving merchandise in an organized and efficient manner. Loss Prevention: Protect all company assets and adhere to strict security policies and procedures. Safety & Compliance: Work in a safe manner at all times, upholding all store policies and following supervisor instructions to ensure a clean, productive environment.

Qualifications & Skills

Mathematical Competence: Having strong math skills is crucial for precise cash accounting and managing registers effectively. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication abilities are essential for interacting with a diverse customer base. Trustworthiness: Demonstrating integrity and honesty is paramount as you will be entrusted with handling company cash and assets. Adaptability: Being able to learn different roles within the store and carry out various tasks assigned by store leaders is important.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with a history in Retail, Discount Stores, or Customer Service will be favored. Those with experience in Truck Unloading or Warehouse Receiving will have an edge.
