Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Regional Operations Manager to oversee and optimize operations across multiple sites in the Stellenbosch, Western Cape, ZA region. This critical leadership role requires a proven ability to drive efficiency, manage resources effectively, and ensure the highest standards of operational excellence. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic operational plans, managing budgets, overseeing supply chain and logistics, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of operational management principles. You will lead and mentor teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and collaborate closely with departmental heads to achieve organizational goals. Key responsibilities include performance monitoring, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency gains, managing risk, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. Experience in managing complex operational environments, particularly within the wine industry or a related agricultural sector, would be a significant advantage. The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, is crucial. This role demands a results-oriented individual with a passion for operational excellence and a strategic vision for growth. Travel within the region will be required to oversee different operational sites. We are looking for a leader who can inspire teams and deliver tangible results in a challenging and dynamic market. Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic operational plans for the region. Oversee and manage daily operations across multiple sites. Manage operational budgets and control costs effectively. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams. Drive initiatives for process improvement and efficiency gains. Manage supply chain, logistics, and inventory as applicable. Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to achieve business objectives. Identify and mitigate operational risks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in operations management. Proven track record of success in optimizing operations and driving efficiency. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with budget management and financial oversight. Knowledge of supply chain and logistics management. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and best practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel within the region as required.
