Job Overview:
Delta Security Services is seeking a professional Swing Shift Security Guard to join our team. This position involves driving a company vehicle between multiple client sites and conducting foot patrols at multifamily housing and retail shopping centers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of each site, responding to incidents, and providing written documentation of their findings. The shift schedule will vary between Monday and Friday, with several shift options available. This position is perfect for those who enjoy staying active and working in different environments.
Responsibilities:
Site Patrol & Security Checks:
Operate a company vehicle to travel between assigned client sites, including multifamily housing and retail shopping centers Conduct thorough foot patrols of properties to monitor for any security breaches, hazards, or unauthorized activity Ensure all areas are secure and compliant with the client’s security protocols Post Monitoring:
Post up at designated posts for monitoring and ensuring the security of the site throughout the shift Respond to any incidents, disturbances, or emergencies at the site in a timely manner Ensure the site is properly secured at the end of each shift Documentation:
Complete daily activity reports and document all security-related incidents Maintain clear, concise, and timely reporting for management and clients Document any hazards or areas needing attention, such as broken gates, faulty lighting, or vandalism Communication:
Maintain effective communication with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members Report any safety or security concerns immediately to the proper channels, including law enforcement if necessary
Qualifications & Requirements:
Armed Guard License required Must be 21 years or older Clean driving record with no traffic violations or infractions in the last 5 years Must provide a Certified MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) to show license status and traffic violations within the past 5 years Ability to operate a company vehicle responsibly GED or High School diploma required Strong written communication skills to accurately document inspections and incidents 2 years of security or patrol experience preferred Ability to conduct foot patrols and stand for extended periods Must be comfortable working independently and visiting multiple client sites
