Security Guard

Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to maintain safety and security across our premises on a 36 hours per week, 3 over 7 basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the site, preventing loss, and ensuring a secure environment for staff and visitors. Duties

Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems and physical patrols to identify any suspicious activity or security breaches. Monitor access points, verify identification, and control entry to authorised personnel only. Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing assistance as needed, including administering first aid if necessary. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or investigations. Enforce company policies and safety procedures to uphold a secure environment for all occupants.

Experience A complete 5 year work history is required for this role Candidates must possess a high standard of written and spoken English Prior experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques is advantageous. Certification in first aid or emergency response is desirable but not mandatory; training will be available for successful candidates. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts. Excellent communication skills and the ability to respond calmly under pressure. A valid first aid certification is a plus, demonstrating readiness to handle emergency situations effectively.
