As a Residential Cleaner & Household Support Specialist, your role goes beyond standard cleaning. You’ll help maintain calm, functional living spaces for clients who rely on consistency, discretion, and high-quality work.

Responsibilities

Perform structured residential cleaning based on Ami’Wa’s standardized checklist (kitchen, bathroom, floors, surfaces, trash removal) Maintain strict sanitation standards, especially in high-touch areas Complete light laundry tasks (wash, dry, fold) when required Reset and organize spaces to maintain a clean and functional environment Complete each job within expected timeframes based on service type and home size Communicate professionally with clients when necessary while maintaining discretion and respect for their space Report job completion and issues after each visit

What We Are Looking For

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured systems High reliability and punctuality (critical for this role) Ability to work independently without supervision Professionalism and respect for clients’ homes and privacy Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (standing, bending, lifting, etc.) Willingness to learn and follow Ami’Wa service standards

Experience

Minimum 2+ years of residential cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience [required] Experience in at least one of the following: hotels, short-term rentals, or private homes [required] Strong knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and sanitation practices (including eco-friendly options) [required] Ability to clean efficiently within structured timeframes while maintaining high-quality results [required] Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured cleaning systems [required] Excellent customer service and professionalism [preferred]

Candidates may be asked to complete a paid trial cleaning to assess quality, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Schedule

Flexible, based on client bookings and availability Jobs are scheduled in advance and grouped by location when possible Must have consistent weekly availability to accept recurring clients Ideal for individuals looking for part-time, flexible work with growth potential

Important Notes

This is a subcontractor (1099) position Cleaners must follow Ami’Wa’s service systems, checklists, and standards Reliability is critical. Missed or late appointments may result in removal from future scheduling This role may expand into more consistent hours for high-performing cleaners All candidates are subject to a background check prior to onboarding

Location

Philadelphia and surrounding areas (within a 30–45 minute travel radius) Travel is required between client locations Must have reliable transportation and be comfortable commuting between jobs
