About this role
I’m creating a beginner-friendly digital product about personal finance, saving, and investing.
This product will be sold as a low-cost ($8–$10) upsell to audiobook listeners, so it must be:
Extremely simple
- Highly actionable
- Easy to follow for complete beginners
- Visually clean and not overwhelming
Goal of the Product:
- Help someone with zero financial knowledge:
- Take control of their money in 7 days
- Build a simple money system
- Invest their first $100 in a low-cost index fund
Content Style (SUPER IMPORTANT):
The content should be inspired by the approach of Ramit Sethi:
- Focus on systems, not restrictions
- Emphasize automation and simplicity
- Avoid overwhelm and complex financial jargon
- Focus on “what to do” instead of “what to know”
-Make the reader feel calm and in control
Scope of Work:
1. Main PDF Guide
Create a 10–15 page visual PDF
Includes:
A “7-Day Money Reset Plan” (1 page per day)
A simple, step-by-step investing starter guide
Clear checklists and action steps
Minimal text, maximum clarity
2. Visual Structure & Design
The PDF should:
Be clean and modern (Apple / Notion style)
Use clear sections, spacing, and hierarchy
Include simple diagrams (money flow, allocation, etc.)
Avoid large text blocks
3. Worksheets / Templates
Include simple, beginner-friendly tools:
Basic money overview (income / expenses)
Simple “money split” visual (spending / saving / investing)
Step-by-step investing checklist
KEY FOCUS: ACTIONABLE INVESTING SECTION
This is the most important part of the product.
The investing section must:
Be extremely simple and beginner-safe
Remove all confusion and hesitation
Lead to immediate action
The investing section should include:
1. Simple Explanation:
What an index fund is (no jargon)
Why it’s the best beginner option
2. Clear Strategy:
ONE simple approach: Invest in a low-cost global index fund
3. Real Examples:
Provide examples like:
S&P 500 index fund
Total market index fund
Global index fund
(Keep it general so it works worldwide)
4. Step-by-Step Action Plan:
The user should be able to follow this without Googling:
Open an investment app
Search for:
“Global index fund” OR
“S&P 500 index fund”
Invest first $100
5. “What NOT to Do” Section:
Don’t pick individual stocks
Don’t wait for the perfect time
Don’t over-research
6. Mindset Shift:
Emphasize:
“The goal is not to be perfect, but to start.”
“Automation and consistency beat complexity.”
Deliverables:
- Final PDF (ready to sell on Gumroad)
- Editable source file (Canva)
I
deal Candidate:
Experience creating beginner-friendly guides
Strong ability to simplify complex topics
Clean, modern design skills
Bonus: experience with personal finance content
To Apply:
Please include:
1–2 relevant samples (PDFs, guides, or similar work)
A short message explaining: How you would make this extremely simple and actionable for beginners
A more detailed outline will be provided later..
Regards
Christian
