Job Description

As a Security Guard Access Control Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access awareness, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. What You'll Do

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, residents, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions in accordance with location protocols.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.Monitor access points and help control entry and exit activity by verifying authorization, providing directions, and reporting unauthorized persons and/or suspicious behavior.Support a respectful and professional environment within a government location by assisting with de-escalation, communicating clearly with staff and/or visitors, and notifying appropriate personnel when additional response is needed.

Minimum Requirements

Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.Access control and badge experience is preferred.A guard card or license is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
