What You'll Do

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, screening procedures, and/or access control practices in accordance with site-specific protocols.Support a professional environment by communicating with hospital personnel, patients, and visitors regarding security-related policies, requested assistance, and/or incident response needs.

Minimum Requirements

Be able to speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
