Candidates will be working shifts in Kitchener, ON.

This is for an existing vacancy.

Those who have access to their own vehicle will be preferred.Shifts: 4 pm to 12 am AfternoonsEvery second weekend offResponsibilities:Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.Access control for the facility/area.Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.Skills:Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.Surveillance skills and detail orientation.Integrity and professionalism.Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.*Barber-Collins Security welcomes and encourages qualified applications from people with disabilities.
