8:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Preschool Teacher 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Assistant Director (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Break per center policy)

Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to fill a dual-role position combining classroom teaching and leadership responsibilities. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a nurturing learning environment while supporting daily center operations. Morning Role: Preschool Teacher (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)Responsibilities:

Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans Create a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment Supervise children at all times and maintain proper ratios Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development Maintain a clean and organized classroom Observe and document children’s progress Communicate effectively with parents and families

Afternoon Role: Assistant Director (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)Responsibilities:

Assist with daily operations of the center Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania DHS regulations Support staff supervision and scheduling Maintain staff-to-child ratios Provide coaching and leadership to staff Assist with enrollment, tours, and family engagement Maintain records (attendance, incidents, staff files) Act in place of the Director when needed

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (MANDATORY)

MUST be Level A or higher on the Professional Development (PD) Registry (REQUIRED – NO EXCEPTIONS) Must be actively enrolled in the PA PD Registry Minimum 2 years childcare experience (leadership preferred) Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania childcare licensing regulations CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Must have FBI, Child Abuse, and Criminal Clearances

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Previous leadership or assistant director experience

Strong leadership and classroom management skills Ability to multitask and transition between roles Excellent communication and organization Professionalism and problem-solving ability Experience with Brightwheel (REQUIRED) Experience implementing Creative Curriculum or similar experience-based curriculum (REQUIRED)

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Ability to actively engage with children (sitting, standing, bending, playing)

Must be willing and able to adapt to change Must be able to work in a very fast-paced environment Must follow and perform daily cleaning and sanitation in accordance with Health Department requirements Team-oriented and supportive environment
