We are looking for a Product Developer with a deep understanding of elevated essentials, specializing in garment dye techniques, premium washes, and high-quality fabrications. This role will be instrumental in developing luxurious yet effortless wardrobe staples, ensuring superior fit, feel, and finish. The ideal candidate has strong relationships with both domestic and global vendors and excels at balancing craftsmanship, innovation, and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the product development process from concept to production, ensuring garments meet the highest standards of quality, fit, and construction.Oversee garment dye and wash development, working closely with mills and laundries to achieve rich color depths, soft hand feels, and unique finishes.Source and develop premium materials, trims, and sustainable fabric innovations, maintaining the brand's elevated aesthetic and performance standards.Leverage an extensive network of domestic and global suppliers to optimize lead times, ensure cost efficiency, and uphold impeccable quality standards.Collaborate with design, technical, and production teams to maintain the integrity of each piece from prototype to final product.Manage vendor relationships, negotiating costs, MOQs, and timelines while maintaining strong communication for seamless development.Stay ahead of industry trends, integrating innovative dyeing, washing, and finishing techniques into development strategies.Maintain design development library samples of fabrics, trims, and colorsQUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of experience in apparel product development, with a focus on elevated essentials, garment dye processes, and premium washes.Deep expertise in garment dye techniques, enzyme washes, pigment dyes, vintage treatments, and specialty finishes.A strong understanding of premium fabrications, including natural fibers, sustainable blends, and performance-enhanced textiles.Extensive vendor network (domestic & global) with proven success in building and maintaining high-quality supply chain partnerships.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple developments and timelines simultaneously.Proficiency in PLM and ExcelKnowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a plus.Exceptionally organized with strong project management skills, able to juggle multiple deadlines and workflows efficientlyThe base salary range for this position is $100,000-$110,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
