## Laborer Position with Mortenson Mortenson is seeking a Laborer to join our team and support our operations across construction projects in sports, renewable energy, data centers, healthcare, and more. You'll be responsible for assisting Laborers and Laborer Journeymen with essential material handling, equipment assembly and disassembly, work area preparation, and maintaining clean machines and workspaces. ## What You'll Be Doing Your day-to-day responsibilities will include loading and unloading equipment, preparing and supplying materials and tools for other trades to use, and keeping work areas, machines, and equipment clean and organized. You'll erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging, level ground for scaffolding, and handle concrete work including placing, pushing, pulling, and shovel work. Motor and grout tending is also part of the role—this involves lifting, unloading, moving, setting, and shoveling between wheelbarrows and buckets. General cleanup and debris clearing is ongoing, with sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debris as needed. You'll vibrate concrete, effectively work and build relationships with team members from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels, and remain willing to travel per project needs and requirements. All other duties as assigned. ## What We're Looking For Experience in construction is preferred. You should be comfortable working with a variety of tools and equipment including power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers. Equipment operation extends to forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies. We need someone with strong teamwork orientation, a positive attitude, and professional customer service skills. Detail orientation, active listening, and effective communication—including openness to diverse input and feedback—are essential. The role requires repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements, with lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs. Any lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be performed with the assistance of another team member or equipment. ## Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this role is $22 - $32 per hour.
