Job Details Description **As a per diem officer, you will work on an as needed basis. Each week you will provide your supervisor with your availability and they will schedule you in when shift coverage is needed. Per diem officers are required to work a minimum of 16 hours per month** Compensation $16.50/hour Benefits Paid trainingDefined vertical mobility and promotion opportunity Job Summary In this role Physical Security Officers (PSO’s) can expect to be working in demanding and fast paced environments. PSO’s may find themselves working in a wide range of areas to include medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues and public events. The PSOs mission is to protect all people, information and property assigned, while delivering on high end customer service. PSOs represent the front line of our security services. Job Duties / Essential Functions Delivering high end customer serviceResponding to emergenciesDeterring and preventing crimePerforming ingress/ egress control proceduresInvestigating incidentsCompleting daily logs and incident reportsConducting regular walking or vehicle patrolsBuilding and Maintaining a professional rapport with clients, guests and co-workersDe-escalating conflictsDetaining suspectsMonitoring CCTV camerasPerforming other related duties as assigned Skills / Qualifications Current and valid DLHigh school diploma or GED(1) year experience in security recommendedMust be able to pass drug screenExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient time management skillsReliable transportationExcellent de-escalation skillsExtensive use of force knowledgeMust be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening and OPS training requirements Appearance Officers shall maintain their hair in a neat, clean, and combed professional appearanceBeards and Mustaches must be clean and neatly trimmed. Mustaches may not extend down onto the upper lip area or down the sides past the juncture of the upper and lower lip lines. Mustaches will not extend beyond the corner of the mouth more than 3/8th inch. Handlebars are not allowed.Officer’s fingernails shall not extend more that ¼ inch from the tip of the finger or interfere in any ways in the performance of duty or with the safe drawing of issued equipment. Fingernail polish is allowed if it does not distract from the uniform. Physical Requirements / Working Conditions These are physical and mental requirements of the position as it is typically performed. Inability to meet one or more of these physical or mental requirements will not automatically disqualify a candidate or employee from the position.
