Job Summary The BNRC Clerk/Driver supports Basic Needs Resource Center operations by transporting food, supplies, and materials; completing program-related deliveries and errands; and assisting with food distribution activities. This role requires safe vehicle operation, adherence to organizational and union guidelines, and compliance with traffic and food safety regulations. This position may require the use of the employee’s personal vehicle. Mileage and fuel reimbursement are provided in accordance with organizational policy. This position will work 25 hours per week. Days and times are flexible. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Transport food, supplies, and materials to clients, partner sites, and program locations using safe work practices. Operate a vehicle in compliance with local traffic laws and organizational safety standards. Conduct basic vehicle safety checks and report maintenance needs. Deliver food in compliance with food safety and handling requirements, including temperature logs when required. Assist with set-up, tear-down, and clean-up for BNRC food distribution events. Deliver prepared food bags and supplies throughout the Greater Cleveland area. Provide light site support duties, including cleaning and use of moving equipment such as dollies. Maintain awareness of BNRC program requirements, including Greater Cleveland Food Bank guidelines. Communicate effectively with staff regarding deliveries, inventory, and supplies. Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Qualifications Ability to lift up to 75 pounds safely and transport supplies up and down stairs. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Customer service or food distribution experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed. Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and cultural sensitivity. No record of child abuse or moral turpitude as determined by background check. Physical Demands/Work Environment This job operates in a professional environment - office, outdoors, kitchen. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods of time, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. Job Summary
