We are seeking to hire Full-Time event Security Officer for the summer months. While the event security work is temporary, there is strong possibility to turn into a permanent security position at one of our other sites! Candidates without proper first aid certification will be disqualified and not be asked to interview. Position Details: Position: Event Security Officer Site: Various locations across HRM Hours: As needed; Shifts can be anywhere between 4-16hrs Payrate: $17.55 - $19.00 Key Responsibilities: • Patrol the building, facilities and exterior grounds • Access Control & ID checks • Respond to incidents and play an active role in all emergency situations • Conduct investigations re: thefts, break and enter, suspicious persons, accidents, vandalism, etc and complete incident reports, occurrence logs or appropriate documentation • Complete door locks/unlocks as required; monitor for unsecure doors • Enforce site's policy as per assigned and document all non-compliance • Provide customer service and assistance, as necessary, to community members • Assist in orientation and training of new security personnel, as required. • Provide First Aid response • Monitor surveillance cameras, as required. • Other related duties and assignments, as delegated by management • Parking Duties may be required • Must be able to work outside and stand for long periods of time Prerequisites: • Ability to obtain Security License for the province of Nova Scotia (pass a criminal background check) • Must currently hold a valid Intermediate (Standard) First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a CSA-approved vendor) • Must be willing to travel up to 1Hr for certain events • Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle are considered asset. • English (oral and written) fluency is a must Why choose Paladin? • Your paycheck, on your schedule-daily pay offered. • Opportunities for training and professional development. • Competitive wage and benefits package. • Free Uniforms • Company paid Security license • Dry cleaning & hemming/tailoring allowance Education Requirements (All) High School Diploma/GED Certification Requirements (All) Intermediate First Aid/CPR C Additional Information / Benefits Paladin Security: Making the World a Safer and Friendlier Place because we CARE !
