Security Officer - The Red Dragon Centre, Cardiff

Purpose of the Role Security and Customer Service Officers are responsible for following all client, site and company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of The Red Dragon Centre, Cardiff. This position is customer facing and frontline and therefore requires the relevant license to fulfil the overall requirements. All staff are expected to be upstanding brand ambassadors, assist with the smooth running of the centre and to manage and assist all emergency situations and incidents. This includes providing visible security cover to the centre, handling enquiries & customer concerns, monitoring CCTV (by suitably trained & licensed staff), monitoring contractors and deliveries to the centre. Holidays should not be booked at peak times of the year. Key Responsibilities To work the hours and shifts in accordance with the conditions of employment. To undertake regular patrols of the Centre as instructed by the Operations Manager. To carry out duties in accordance with site instructions issued by Operations Manager. To comply fully with Savills Health & Safety Policy and Procedures. To ensure that the Rules & Regulations of the Centre are always complied with. Ensure that all incidents are recorded in the Daily Occurrence Book and via Savills Incident Reports. To ensure all relevant paperwork, checklists are completed as required. Ensure that contractors arriving on site adhere to Savills' procedures for contractor management. Ensure that the centre is a safe and pleasant environment. To assist with enquiries from the public. Comply with the Security Industry Act 2001; officers must hold a valid SIA Security License, Door License and, where necessary, a Public Space Surveillance License (CCTV). The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation.
