This role is vital in safeguarding preventing theft and maintaining a secure environment for staff and customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement or security. Responsibilities Monitor premises through surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect suspicious activity or security breaches Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety and security protocols are followed Observe customer and employee behavior for signs of theft or misconduct Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, or emergencies according to established procedures Document incidents accurately and thoroughly in reports for future reference Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary during investigations or incidents Enforce company policies related to loss prevention and security measures Maintain a visible security presence to deter potential theft or misconduct Experience Prior experience in law enforcement, private security, or loss prevention is highly preferred Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and monitoring techniques Strong understanding of loss prevention strategies and best practices Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail Ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure situations Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to company policies Requirements Must reside in Ottawa Must be CPR certified Must be Use of Force certified Must be able to travel to assigned sites independently To Apply: Please send your resume and valid security licence via WhatsApp to (647) 289-1070.
