SMALL AND GROWING COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE COMPANY LOCATED IN NORTHERN SUBURBS LOOKING FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES TO FULFILL AN ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION TO ASSIST WITH REPAIR/MAINTENANCE/COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS THROUGHOUT TWIN CITIES METRO AREA. WILL TRAIN AND TEACH INEXPERIENCED APPLICANTS. WE ARE A CLOSE-KNIT GROUP AND NOT A HUGE CORPORATE BUSINESS. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Hauling job materials and tools to and from jobsite as needed – company transportation provided once you arrive at home office. Job setup and cleanup. Maintain tools and equipment. Safety equipment and tools are company provided. Assist with demolition, caulking, carpentry, painting, tile grout projects, cabinetry work, small repairs, etc. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Highly motivated and wants a future in the construction industry. Must be clean-cut, reliable, professional, have a strong work ethic and a great attitude. Must speak English fluently. Must be drug-free and be willing to pass a drug screening test if requested. Must have high-school diploma, GED, or equivalent education completed. Must have a valid MN State Driver’s License and insured vehicle. PREFERRED SKILLS Must have basic knowledge/light experience with hand and power tools. Must be able to work any shift as some projects require that flexibility. This is a mostly 2 nd shift position and the pay scale is increased to account for that!. Must be in good physical condition with ability to work long hours, lift at least 50lbs repeatedly, kneel for extended periods (flooring projects), use ladders, step-stools, and/or scaffolding, etc. ADDITIONAL NOTES We offer a great work environment with weekly pay and opportunity for advancement dependent on individual performance and willingness to work and learn. We also offer Medical/Dental insurance, life insurance, and several paid holidays and personal days to qualified candidates. A retirement package with company match for certain positions is available. Pay level commensurate with experience.
