Office Manager / Administrative Bookkeeper Location Calgary, AB Part-time position to start (20–25 hours/week) $28–$38/hour depending on experience Western Meridian Construction Ltd. is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Office Manager / Administrative Bookkeeper Billingual (English,French)to support our growing general construction company in Calgary. This position is ideal for someone who can help keep the company professionally organized, maintain accurate records, support bookkeeping operations, manage follow-ups, and ensure important project and financial documentation remains properly tracked and protected. About Us WMC provides residential and commercial construction services including renovations, roofing, siding, exterior work, interior improvements, repairs, subcontractor coordination, project documentation, proposals, and contracts. Responsibilities Manage customer calls, emails, quote requests, and appointment schedulingOrganize customer files, project records, contracts, receipts, proposals, invoices, and company documentsTrack invoices, supplier bills, deposits, balances, subcontractor paperwork, and project-related recordsSupport bookkeeping tasks including reconciliations, GST preparation, expense tracking, and monthly reportingPrepare organized records for the company accountant/CPAMaintain and update internal office systems and project trackingCoordinate follow-ups with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and WMC Ltd. TeamTrack important business documents including insurance, WCB, supplier accounts, licences, and renewalsAssist with contract proposal preparation, document organizationImprove and maintain organized administrative systems as the company growsQualifications Strong organizational skills and attention to detailExperience with bookkeeping, accounting support, or office administrationComfortable working with invoices, receipts, reconciliations, spreadsheets, PDFs, and online systemsProfessional communication skills with customers, suppliers, and subcontractorsAbility to manage confidential records and financial information responsiblySelf-motivated, dependable, and capable of following systems carefullyPreferred Assets Experience in construction, trades, renovation, or service industriesExperience with QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting softwareKnowledge of payroll, GST filing, accounts payable, or accounts receivable. Familiarity with contracts, change orders, supplier accounts, or project coordinationEffective Interpersonal Communication skills and Presentation skillsImportant This is not simply a bookkeeping role. We are looking for someone who can support the structure, organization, bookkeeping, and long-term administrative growth of the company. Responsibilities
