Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to ensure the safety and security expertise to our clients premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, be attentive to detail, and committed to maintaining a secure environment. This opportunity is to recruit an individual who is levelheaded, not prejudiced, and open to understanding the challenges faced within the homeless sector throughout Scotland. Responsibilities Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity across the premises Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or breaches Enforce loss prevention measures by deterring theft and unauthorised access Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing assistance as required Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities and any security incidents Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information in a professional manner Implement health and safety protocols, including administering basic first aid when necessary Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during critical situations Requirements · Access/Egress Control to homeless accommodation units. · Provide meet/greet service to service users. · Effective communication with residents with each unit. · Liaising with emergency services when required. · Liaising with client representatives and on-call support when required. · Effective record keeping including incident reports. · Validating ID checks for site personnel. · Registering visitors to sites such as family members, emergency services etc. · Internal/External building inspections · Internal building lockdown process at pre-agreed timings. · Car park monitoring. · Internal CCTV monitoring. · Populate client/employer documentation per shift.
