We combine a specialty coffee shop with a full-service conferencing and events venue — all under one roof. We’re values-driven, community-focused, and committed to delivering world-class experiences for every client, from intimate boardroom meetings to large-scale events in our 300-seat auditorium. The Role We’re looking for a proactive, people-oriented Conferencing & Events Coordinator to join our growing team. You’ll be the first point of contact for event and venue enquiries, responsible for converting leads into bookings and ensuring every client experience is seamless from first inquiry to final handshake. This is a sales-driven role that also requires meticulous coordination — you’ll be working across our conferencing rooms and auditorium, liaising with our café and catering team, and helping shape the client experience that makes The Intersection stand out. Key Responsibilities Respond promptly to venue and conferencing enquiries, providing tailored quotes and following up to convert leads into confirmed bookingsManage the conferencing and events booking diary, ensuring accurate scheduling across all spacesPrepare event function sheets, room layouts, and communicate requirements to the café, catering, and operations teamsCoordinate client needs throughout the planning process, including AV requirements, catering packages, and room configurationConduct client walkthroughs that showcase The Intersection’s full offeringProactively reach out to local businesses, corporates, and organisations in the area to drive bookingsTrack enquiry statuses, conversion rates, and booking stats, providing regular reports to the Managing DirectorChase deposits and follow up on outstanding payments in line with booking termsAssist with the preparation of client gift bags, information packs, and welcome materialsRepresent The Intersection at relevant industry events, expos, and networking functionsIdentify opportunities to upsell catering or additional services to conferencing clientsContribute to product development and share client feedback to improve our offerings Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric)Certificate or diploma in Hospitality, Events Management, or a related field (advantageous)2–4 years’ experience in conferencing coordination, hospitality, or a client-facing sales roleProficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)Experience with booking or CRM systems is an advantage Who You Are A natural people-person with strong sales instincts and a genuine love for hospitalityHighly organised, with the ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines simultaneouslyAn excellent communicator — warm, professional, and clear in writing and conversationSelf-motivated and proactive; you don’t wait to be told, you make it happenCalm under pressure and adaptable in a fast-paced, people-facing environmentA team player who takes pride in going above and beyond for clients and colleaguesWell-presented, punctual, and aligned with our values of excellence, community, and generosity To apply: Email your CV and a brief cover letter to [email protected] Subject line: Conferencing & Events Coordinator Application

The Role
We’re looking for a proactive, people-oriented Conferencing & Events Coordinator to join our growing team. You’ll be the first point of contact for event and venue enquiries, responsible for converting leads into bookings and ensuring every client experience is seamless from first inquiry to final handshake.
This is a sales-driven role that also requires meticulous coordination — you’ll be working across our conferencing rooms and auditorium, liaising with our café and catering team, and helping shape the client experience that makes The Intersection stand out.
Key Responsibilities
