Role Description The Head Chef role at a Restaurant & Events Property outside Nelspruit is a full-time, on-site position. Qualifications Culinary Expertise: Strong skills in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques with extensive knowledge of various cuisines. Leadership and Team Management: Experience in leading, mentoring, and training kitchen staff to maintain teamwork and efficiency in a high-pressure environment. Operations Management: Proficiency in inventory management, cost control, and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. Creativity and Problem-Solving: Ability to innovate and adapt recipes or menus while addressing challenges efficiently and effectively. Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills to coordinate successfully within the kitchen and with other departments. Experience and Education: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar environment. Culinary certifications or a degree in Culinary Arts is highly advantageous.
