Casual Security Guard – Summer Events (Toronto & Hamilton) Location: Toronto, ON & Hamilton, ON Job Type: Casual / On-Call / (Summer Season) Company Overview We are a professional security services company providing reliable event security across Ontario. With a busy summer season ahead, we are hiring casual security guards to support a variety of outdoor and indoor events including festivals, concerts, private parties, cultural events, and community gatherings in Toronto and Hamilton. Job Summary We are looking for professional, alert, and customer-friendly Security Guards to join our summer event team. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe, controlled, and enjoyable environment for guests, staff, and event organizers. This is a casual/on-call summer position with flexible event-based shifts (days, evenings, nights, and weekends). Key Responsibilities Provide security coverage at summer events, festivals, and venues Monitor crowd behavior and ensure public safety Control entry points, check tickets/IDs, and manage access control Conduct patrols of event areas (indoor and outdoor) Respond quickly and professionally to incidents or emergencies Assist event staff and coordinate with supervisors and emergency services when required Maintain accurate incident reports and logs Maintain a professional, approachable presence with guests Requirements (Mandatory) Valid Ontario Security Guard License (MUST HAVE) Valid Smart Serve Certification (MUST HAVE) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to stay calm and professional in busy event environments Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays (summer season) Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Assets (Preferred) Previous event or crowd control experience First Aid / CPR certification Experience in festivals, concerts, or nightlife security Ability to work long outdoor shifts in various weather conditions What We Offer Exciting summer event assignments across Toronto & Hamilton Flexible casual scheduling (work as much or as little as available) Competitive hourly pay based on experience and event type Opportunity to work at high-profile events and festivals Fast-paced and dynamic work environment How to Apply Interested candidates must submit their resume along with: Valid Ontario Security Guard License Valid Smart Serve Certification Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for summer onboarding.
