Responsibilities
As a member of the Product Strategy and Marketing team, the Market Analyst III is responsible for identifying products and services that reduce the distribution costs and protect/increase airline revenues through marketing activities which include market research, analysis, marketing artifacts, competitor scan market intelligence, product launch/adoption and monitoring marketing trends.
The candidate must be able to take a leadership role in the development, planning and execution of the overall product marketing strategy including the product portfolio and go-to-market strategies; assist in identifying areas for growth and create strategic product-line roadmaps to help drive adoption of the product and differentiating features; have a comprehensive understanding of the travel industry and a working knowledge of the ATPCO product portfolio. A high-level understanding of ATPCO’s Life Cycle of the Fare is preferred.
Market Strategy
Must be able to conduct market research and define market segments; assist in the development, design, distribution and analysis of industry surveys; analyze airline performance, travel distribution trends; identify competitive threats, and develop recommendations to reduce ATPCO's risk and exposure to harm; analyze the strategic fit of new products and solutions and their relationship with ATPCOs business model and objectives.
Market Management
Be able to lead teams and manage tasks associated with the project; develop ad hoc analysis in support of new development efforts.
Process and Project Management
Must have the ability to effectively manage assigned tasks, deadlines and deliverables; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver timely and effective results.
Statistics/Analysis skills
Must have experience in manipulating figures and using statistical tools.
Additional Requirements
Work collaboratively with senior management to identify or generate new business opportunities; Establish, build and manage key partner relationships, including assessing needs and developing, and delivering proposals and presentations; Engage executives and build network at senior levels (both inside ATPCO and in travel industry); Experience with Airline Revenue Accounting, Pricing, Inventory Management or Revenue Management and/or ATPCO products is a plus, but not required.
Education/Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Marketing; Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience
Ability to present and communicate in Industry meetings is required; Six plus years’ experience in a marketing or marketing related position; prior work experience in the travel industry with an airline, GDS, or related segment preferred.
