An armed response company in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga requires a CCTV Operator to respond to alarm activations and emergency calls. You will conduct rapid response patrols, investigate suspicious activity, and liaise with law enforcement when necessary. A valid firearm competency certificate and advanced driving skills are essential.

Responsibilities Control access to buildings and sites by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining an accurate access register. Conduct regular patrols of the assigned premises on foot or by vehicle, checking for security breaches, hazards, and suspicious activity. Conduct searches of personnel, vehicles, and bags entering or leaving the premises to prevent unauthorised removal of property. Write detailed and accurate incident reports describing security events, observations, and actions taken for management review. Provide excellent customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors while maintaining a firm and professional security presence. Supervise and coordinate a team of security officers, managing shift rosters and ensuring all posts are adequately staffed. Respond promptly to alarm activations, investigate the cause, and take appropriate action including escalation to armed response or law enforcement.

Requirements The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure in emergency or high-stress situations. For armed response roles, a valid firearm competency certificate and experience in handling firearms safely. Good written and verbal communication skills to write reports and interact professionally with clients and the public. Grade 12 certificate is preferred; Grade 10 may be acceptable for certain entry-level positions. A valid driver's licence is required for armed response and patrol positions.
